Bisiàc (2007)

Bisiàc is a local word for exile and conjures up a border area which is unique in its layering of identity and tradition.

Twin boy-girl aged five are paddling across the Isonzo River, playing with the stones in the water and singing nursery rhymes in their own language—the old Veneto dialect. A timeless tale whose theme is the melancholy that springs from the inexorable loss of folk traditions.
