VALERIO ROCCO ORLANDO (Italy, 1978) lives in Milan and New York.
Working across a range of media including film, sound and photography, Orlando's community based projects focus on the relation between individual and collective identity in order to explore the complexity of human relationships in contemporary society.
He has exhibited at Momenta Art, Smack Mellon and X Initiative in New York, Viafarini, Careof and La Triennale in Milan, Fondazione Bevilacqua la Masa in Venice, Teatro Regio in Parma, Palazzo Strozzi in Florence and Nomas Foundation in Rome.
Valerio Rocco Orlando won the Iscp New York Prize 2009 promoted by Parc/Seat/Gai and a Civitella Ranieri Foundation Fellowship in Visual Arts in 2011.
ENDLESS, an ongoing series of artist's books (first published by Mousse Publishing in 2011), is a collaborative project with international artists and writers such as Gilbert & George, Liam Gillick and Jean-Luc Nancy.
